Hand stripping — groomers by town

Hand stripping pulls the dead outer coat out by the root instead of clipping it off, which keeps the harsh texture and the colour of a wire coat: terriers, schnauzers, wire-haired dachshunds, some spaniels. It takes far longer than a clip and is usually charged by the hour or at a higher flat rate. Not every groomer is trained in it, so the towns listed here are the ones where somebody says they offer it.
