How to choose a dog groomer in Worcester

Check how well the business is documented
Of the forty businesses in this directory, eleven were confirmed from a first-hand working website plus at least one other source, or from strong first-party detail such as a licence number (marked high confidence). Twenty-seven are medium confidence, usually meaning the details come from an online listing or a single secondary source rather than the business's own working site, and several of those have no phone number published anywhere except a Google Business listing, added here after a follow-up check. Two are low confidence: Absolutely Furbulous Holistic Grooming (a mobile groomer in St John's) and Dog Grooming by Joanne (a home-based groomer in Droitwich) rest on search-result text only, because the listings that first named them are no longer live. Their entries say so plainly; confirm what's on offer, the exact coverage area and prices by phone before booking either.
Two businesses with more than one branch or name
K9 Kuts is a genuine two-branch operator: one salon trades inside the Just for Pets store in Droitwich, next to Waitrose, and a second inside the Just for Pets store in Kidderminster, next to Asda, each with its own address and phone number. Separately, Beautiful Dogs (Evesham) Ltd and Beautiful Dogs (Pershore) Ltd share a similar trading name but are unrelated companies at different addresses; the Pershore business states on its own site that it also serves Evesham and Worcester from its one Pershore base, while the Evesham business is independent of it.
Who was left out, and why
Research turned up several more leads that don't appear in this directory. Happy Paws, in the St Peter's part of Worcester, has a confirmed address but no phone number that could be verified anywhere, so it was left out under the rule that only phone-confirmed businesses are published. A handful of others, including Top 'n' Tail Grooming Services (Kempsey), Jolly Dogz Grooming and Dog Grooming by Jo (both Evesham area), Shampooch Dog Grooming and Tails of Eckington Dog Grooming (both Pershore area), and Urban Dog Grooming by Claire, Cuts & Cuddles Dog Grooming, Westgate Dog Grooming and a second Dog House in Titton (all Kidderminster/Stourport area), were dropped for resting on a single unverified snippet with no confirming source, rather than guessed at. Hair Of The Dog, in Droitwich, was excluded because two sources gave conflicting phone numbers with no postcode to settle which was current. Pets at Home Groom Room branches in Worcester, Malvern, Droitwich, Evesham and Kidderminster were excluded throughout as a national chain. City & Guilds training comes up most often: Groom Shack Dog Grooming, Malvern Dog Grooming (Level 3, also Canine Health and First Aid accredited), POOCH Professional Canine Services' senior stylist (Level 2 and 3, plus an OCN qualification and ICMG accreditation), Dog Grooming by Victoria (Level 2 and 3) and Kota's Kuts (also trained in canine first aid and behaviour) all cite it. Paws2Paws' Philippa Clarke instead holds an iPET Network Level 3 Diploma in Dog Grooming and Salon Management, and Pawsome Pooches Evesham's Emma holds a Level 3 Extended Diploma in Animal Management from Hartpury College. Ask for the qualification by name if it matters to you.
Mobile groomers
Three of the forty businesses here work from a van rather than a fixed salon: Absolutely Furbulous Holistic Grooming (St John's, low confidence, so confirm details by phone), Wuffers and Waggy Washhouse Mobile Dog Grooming Services (both based in Droitwich). If you need someone to come to you outside these rounds, ask a salon-based groomer whether they also travel; several, including Dog Grooming by Victoria and Müttley Crüe, describe covering a wider area such as Wyre Forest, Bewdley or Stourport-on-Severn from a fixed base rather than a van.
Cats and other animals
Puss 'N' Pooch, Petite Paws Only, Wagtails of Malvern and Cuts4Scruffs all groom cats alongside dogs; Puss 'N' Pooch also offers small-animal grooming. Everyone else in this directory is confirmed for dog grooming only.

Coverage is heaviest in Kidderminster and Stourport-on-Severn (nine) and Evesham and Pershore (eight), followed by Warndon and Blackpole (five), Worcester city centre, St John's and Dines Green, and Droitwich Spa (four each), then St Peter's and Kempsey (three) and Malvern, the thinnest area, also with three. If you're in a thinner area, the nearest well-documented option, or a mobile groomer covering your postcode, is worth trying first.
