Check how well the business is documented

Coverage is uneven, and Stockley Park has none at all
Uxbridge & Hillingdon is the best covered area, with nine listed businesses, followed by West Drayton & Heathrow with eight. Harefield & Denham has four, and Hayes & Yeading only three, the thinnest area with an active listing; both are worth widening your search from if you don't find enough choice. One shared address, sorted rather than merged or hidden
Pawfect Style Dog Grooming SPA and Jazzy Dogs both trade from the same unit at Ansell Garden Centre on Holloway Lane, West Drayton, but under different phone numbers and different business models: Pawfect Style is the fixed grooming spa inside the centre, Jazzy Dogs a separate mobile grooming van that also works from there. They're listed as two businesses rather than merged into one. A few other names needed a note rather than a merge: Happy Hounds Grooming Studio also trades as "Happy Hounds Hillingdon" on some listings; Dog Grooming by Alison trades under its own domain as "Dogs by Ally" while directories consistently use "Dog Grooming by Alison" for the same address and phone; Pamper Ur Pup is listed at two Harefield addresses under one phone number; and Practically Pawfect appears tagged under both "Harefield" and "Denham" for the same St Francis Road address.
Who was left out, and why
Yasmin's Dog And Groom Limited, an active registered company in Hayes, was researched but left out of this directory because no phone number could be confirmed for it from any source. "Victoria Elizabeth Properties Ltd" in Hillingdon recurs on several directories tagged as a dog groomer, but the registered entity is a property company, not a groomer, and no independent source gave a person, service list or grooming phone number for it, so it's excluded as unverifiable rather than guessed at. A Groom Room concession at a Cowley retail park was excluded under the standing rule against national chain-store grooming concessions, and a Hayes veterinary practice that lists grooming among its services was excluded on the same basis applied to vets-with-grooming elsewhere on this site. Two businesses that surfaced under "Hayes" searches turned out to serve Hayes, Kent rather than Hayes, Middlesex, and were excluded as the wrong Hayes.
Mobile and home-based groomers
Three of the businesses here work from a vehicle or the owner's own home rather than a fixed salon you can walk into: Sponge Dog Mobile Dog Wash and Grooming and Jazzy Dogs both work from purpose-built grooming vans, and Diane Precious Paws combines mobile clipping and grooming with a wider pet-care round in Harmondsworth. Scullywaggs Dog Grooming, Small Dog Grooming and Practically Pawfect all groom from the owner's home rather than travelling to you. If a home-based or mobile listing doesn't say clearly which it is, ask when you call.
One-to-one setups
Several salons describe working with one dog at a time rather than a busy salon floor: Danielle's K9 Spa and The Fur Studio, both in the Uxbridge & Hillingdon area, The Barking Boutique in Hillingdon, Calling All Paws in West Drayton, and Scullywaggs Dog Grooming in Hayes.

Ask for a qualification by name if it matters to you, since nothing here is independently verified beyond what each business states about itself.
