Same address, different name — and other flagged conflicts
Fido Sassoon Grooming Services is listed here at 86 Scotter Road, Scunthorpe, independently confirmed on a second source, but a separate North Lincolnshire-wide directory sweep instead gives a Winterton address with a different phone number for a business of the same name — possibly a second premises, possibly a mix-up, not resolved either way. Milo Grooming Studio is recorded at 75 Plymouth Road; one other source gave a conflicting postcode for what appears to be the same business. Lynn's Grooming Parlour is kept at 29 Beechway, reconfirmed independently, while a separate, differently-addressed "Lynns Grooming Parlour" on Warren Road turned up on a wider sweep with no phone given and isn't listed as a second business. Ruff to Woof's building range is given as either 90-99 or 85-105 Waterside Road depending on the source, with the phone matching exactly in both; the original range is used here. Abitails and Doggy Day Spa both sit at the same Winteringham Road shopping site in Winterton but trade under clearly different names, so both are listed as separate businesses. Fur Do's Dog Grooming Spa also appears as Fur Do's Dog Grooming Salon and Furdo's across directories, with an older-looking address on Market Place sharing its current phone number.
A duplicate kept out: Cherie Sanders Dog Grooming
Two independent sources give Cherie Sanders Dog Grooming's address as 29 Park Street, Winterton — the exact address recorded here for Abitails. Rather than assert either that it's the same business under a groomer's personal name, a predecessor, or a genuine second salon at that address, it's left out of this directory altogether.
Two more left out, and a chain excluded
Willows Wonder Hut, a salon-and-mobile business in Messingham, and Moon Paws Mobile Dog Grooming, a mobile service covering Scunthorpe, both turned up in research but couldn't be confirmed with a phone number from any source, and this directory only publishes businesses with one. Pawsh Paws, named on a directory's Brigg listing, could not be confirmed as a real Brigg business at all — every search for it returned unrelated American pet-grooming businesses of the same name. Pets at Home's Groom Room at Lakeside Retail Park, Scunthorpe, is excluded as a national chain.
Villages this directory hasn't searched yet
Coverage has real gaps. Around Brigg, the villages of Scawby, Wrawby, Barnetby le Wold and Broughton have not been specifically searched. In Scunthorpe, Yaddlethorpe, Dragonby, Bottesford and the central Frodingham and High Street area have not been searched either. Barrow-upon-Humber itself, as distinct from Goxhill and New Holland (both technically in the same civil parish), has no groomer of its own found so far. Scunthorpe is by far the best covered of the three areas, with 18 businesses. Barton-upon-Humber and Barrow has 8. Scunthorpe (18) has by far the most choice, Barton-upon-Humber and Barrow (8) comes next, and Brigg (5) is the thinnest of the three, so check a neighbouring area or a mobile groomer's coverage if you're based there.
