No source confirms whether NF Dog Grooming is a second groomer working from Targamar's salon or an unrelated listing, so both are kept here as separate businesses; ask when you call which one you're booking. Separately, 4 Paws & Claws in Royton and Traceys K9 Cuts in Delph were found sharing the exact same phone number across different directory pulls. Only Traceys K9 Cuts is listed here, since its own website independently confirms that number; 4 Paws & Claws is left out of this edition until its own number is confirmed. A third pair, The Fur Salon and Shampooch Mobile Dog Grooming, each have an address given differently by a second source for the same phone number; both are listed under the address confirmed by more than one directory, with the alternative flagged rather than hidden.
Who was left out, and why
Betsy's Pad (Failsworth) is left out for having no confirmed phone number or street address. A listing at 29 Gainsborough Avenue, Oldham, found under the tag "Middleton Dog Grooming" almost certainly a directory mislabel, since Middleton is several miles away in Rochdale borough, is left out until a phone call or a Places match confirms its real trading name. Prestige Pawz, initially found on one directory pull, turned out on a follow-up search to be the trading name of an unrelated multi-site chain based at Bents Garden & Home in Warrington and Salford, so it's excluded rather than risk publishing someone else's Salford-area chain under an Oldham address. Two Pets at Home / The Groom Room branches, at Elk Mill Retail Park in Royton and Snipe Retail Park in Ashton-under-Lyne, are excluded as the national chain, per this site's rule; The Groom Room at Highmoor Kennels, a distinct independently-run grooming service at a boarding kennels that happens to share that trading name, is not the same business and is listed. Coverage is heaviest in Royton, Shaw & Chadderton (13), followed by Oldham east & Saddleworth (10), then Oldham town centre and Failsworth & Hollinwood (6 each). Ashton-under-Lyne itself is the thinnest area, with only 2 confirmed businesses, Smarter Dog and Merryfall Poodles: several well-known Ashton groomers turned out to sit just over the boundary in OL7 and stay with the neighbouring town that already covers that postcode. Windsor Pet Boutique & Spa, based in Oldham centre, is also tagged on one directory listing as covering Ashton-under-Lyne, so it's worth asking about if the two Ashton-based options don't suit.
