When to start

None of the four publishes a fixed recommended age for a first visit, and the right time depends on a puppy's vaccination status and its breed's coat. As a general rule, getting a puppy comfortable with being brushed and having its paws and ears handled at home can start as soon as it arrives, while the first proper salon visit usually waits until vaccinations are complete.
