A second, unrelated business also called Strip & Style Dog Grooming, run by Amanda, trades from Saltcoats, outside this town's coverage; don't confuse the two.

Two same-address pairs, kept separate

Vivi's Dog Grooming and Doggy Dazzle both trade from 1-3 Kilmaurs Road in Knockentiber under different phone numbers. Platinum Paws and Tall Bark & Handsome are both listed at 40 Main Street in Kilwinning. In both cases, whether this is one business under two names, or two separate operators at the same building, could not be confirmed, so all four are listed here as separate businesses rather than merged or dropped. Newmilns and Darvel

Stewarton & Galston's coverage was extended to include Newmilns and Darvel, two villages in the Irvine Valley next to Galston, once two named, addressable groomers were confirmed there: Durty Dawgs Walking & Grooming in Newmilns and Wag A Lot in Darvel. A third Newmilns lead, Dogs R Us Grooming, has no confirmed phone number and isn't listed.

Chains excluded

Pets at Home "Groom Room" branches found during research in this area are deliberately excluded throughout this directory, which lists independent local groomers rather than a national chain's in-store service. The Groom Room Stewarton, on Lainshaw Street, is a different business entirely despite the shared name: an independently owned salon run by Kirsten Cowling and her family since it first opened in 1999, well before any chain used that name locally. Don't confuse the two when booking.

Mobile groomers

Two of the 35 businesses here work from a van rather than a fixed salon: McNeill's K9 Services, offering collection and drop-off around Kilmarnock, and Paws Above Mobile Dog Grooming, also based in Kilmarnock.
