How to choose a dog groomer in Hartlepool and east Durham

Who shares a unit with whom

The Trimdon gap

Trimdon (TS29) has one confirmed groomer: Hair off the Dog, on Chisholm Road in Trimdon Station. This is a genuine gap rather than a research shortfall — despite the area's name, Sedgefield itself carries postcode TS21, and every groomer found near Sedgefield proper resolves to a neighbouring postcode (TS20, TS21, TS22, DL16, DL17, DH6 or SR8) outside this town's coverage. Hair off the Dog is the only business found with a genuine TS29 postcode, so it is currently the sole option in this area.

Qualifications and setups

Grooming Centre's head stylist holds a Level 3 Advanced qualification with distinctions and is working towards Master Groomer status; one directory credits the salon with 30 years' experience. Two businesses work from a home or farm rather than a shopfront: Mutts Cuts, at Hart Moor Farm in Hart village, and Nicola's Mobile Dog Grooming, which has no fixed shop address and works mobile-only across Hartlepool. Woof N Ready and Claws 2 Paws both run a mobile grooming van alongside their salon premises, so ask either one whether a home visit suits your dog better than a trip to the shop.
