How to choose a dog groomer in Ashford, Folkestone and Hythe
Dog grooming is unregulated in the UK, so the checking is on you. Check how well the business is documented

Ashford North and Kennington is next thinnest, at four. Flagged conflicts to ask about
A few addresses are worth raising when you call. Handsome Hounds and Wagglers share the same Crete Road West address near Folkestone but have different phone numbers, so both are listed as separate businesses; a second Handsome Hounds listing, in nearby Capel-le-Ferne with its own phone number, is also listed separately here rather than merged, since it may be a second branch of the same business. Top Dogs and Tails gives a Densole address on this site, matched against its Google listing, though two other directories give a different Hythe address for the same name and phone. A-Z Animal Care and Smart Dogs each have a second, slightly different address on one directory besides the one used here; treat either as worth double-checking when you call.

Ask for the qualification by name if it matters to you.
Mobile groomers
Two of the thirty-six businesses here work from a van rather than a fixed salon: Tail Blazers Mobile Dog Grooming (based in Ashford, covering Wye, Hythe, Tenterden, Charing, Hamstreet and Sellinge) and Give A Dog A Comb (covering a wide ring of villages around Tenterden). If you need someone to come to you outside these rounds, ask a salon-based groomer whether they also travel.
Cats and other animals
